Domenico Bosco (07)
Domenico did a ~6-month sabbatical in the lab as a Fulbright fellow.
He contributed to pretty much every project we had going on - and
got some protocols we were having a hard time with to work.

Joao Lopes (07)
Joao, Mate
and the kids were here for a one-year sabbatical. In addition to
taking over all of our greenhouse space with multiple, large
experiments, Joao still found time to enjoy the Bay Area and discover
Peet's.

Lab assistants
Nick Hughes (06-07)
Nick was a member of Kent Daane's group, but did much of his work in our lab.
Nick was interested in determining the origin of the invasive
vine mealybug.
John Chau (06-07)
John got our grapevine leafroll ecology project off the ground
and looked at the transmission biology of that virus by mealybugs.
John stopped by in Spring 08 for a visit and will start graduate
school at UC Davis (we think).

Undergrad hall of fame
Kim Hung (06-07)
Kim did her Honor's project in the lab, looking at the effect of
temperature on the maintainance of bacteria associated with the gut of
a stink bug. She graduated from UCB and last we heard was going to apply to Entomology graduate programs.
Fernanda Engels (07)
Fernanda was a visiting undergraduate student from Brazil that spent
approximately a semester in the lab. She looked at the genetic
structure of Xylella fastidiosa causing
disease in citrus and coffee in Brazil. She went back and
obtained BS in Biology in 2007. She is now an entomology MS
student.
Artem Ryazantsev
(06-07)
Artem was an undergraduate research assistant that helped Simone Prado
with her stink bug experiments. He graduated in 07 and applied for
Med School.
