WELCOME

It is with great pleasure we officially invite you to attend the upcoming "Root and Butt Rot of Forest Trees" scientific meeting on the West Coast of the USA from August 12th until August 19th, 2007. This will be the 12th international meeting of the International Union of Forestry Research Organization, Working Party 7.02.01. The meeting will provide attendees with a unique opportunity to visit a variety of sites in California and Oregon including San Francisco, Berkeley, Yosemite Valley, Mono Lake, the ghost town of Bodie, Mammoth Lakes, Lake Tahoe, Squaw Valley, Mount Lassen, Mount Shasta and Crater Lake. Spectacular coastline, vast forests, active calderas and volcanoes, high deserts, gigantic waterfalls and the largest alpine lake in the world will all be visited during the meeting. Venues of the conference will include the lush grounds of the Clark Kerr campus at U. C. Berkeley with views of the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco; the Mammoth Mountain Inn nestled at over 2000m above sea level overlooking the high desert and the spectacular Minarets; the Plumpjack Inn at Squaw Valley at the foot of the Tramway used by athletes during the 1960 Winter Olympic Games, and the Red Lion in quaint Medford, Oregon.

Registration will close on June 22. Because we have booked limited blocks for each type of rooms, we strongly recommend you register as soon as possible to ensure the desired type of accommodation.
