The web camera at the Tonzi Ranch site was installed at the beginning of March, 2005. The camera is a Vivotek IP6112.

The camera is mounted at about 20m above ground on the northwest corner on a walkup scaffold tower looking to the northwest (apporx. 307 degree from true north). Initially the camera may have been a D-Link DCS900 (see Vaira Ranch Web Cam) with a resolution of 640x480. On Aug 4, 2005, the camera was changed to a Vivotek IP6112. The field or view was adjusted several times until Jun 29, 2006 where it has been fixed ever since. The view covers the dominant upwind footprint sampled by the tower. There’s a small clearing at the bottom center of the image that is about 40m from the base of the tower. Images are collected hourly from 0900 to 1400 Pacific Standard Time (UTM-8). However, early in the image collection, images were collected around the clock or throughout the daylight hours.
