Initially the camera was pointed at the ground below the radiation sensors mounted on the tower. A bit of the aluminum tower was visible on the left edge of the image and a strand of barbed wire ran across the bottom of the photo. On November 17, 2005 the image was adjusted to the right to exclude the bit of tower on the left edge. On June 29, 2006 the camera was move to view the flux tower and its footprint. In this location the image includes the flux tower on its right edge and sees in the dominant upwind direction about 115m to a stand of trees. The camera is point at about 314 degrees from true north and mounted about 1.5m above the ground. Images are collected hourly intervals around noon local standard time (UTM-8). Images were originally 320x240 pixels but this was increased to 640x480 on October 10, 2007. The original camera died on March 23, 2010 and was replaced with the same make and model on April 13, 2010. | ||||||||
