Getting to the Area by Plane

Berkeley is accessible from two main airports, San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and Oakland International Airport (OAK). Several door to door shuttle and taxi services are available from both airports to bring you straight to your hotel. You can also take public transportation. The Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) has connections from both airports. The David Brower Center and the Hotel Shattuck Plaza are both located very near to the Downtown Berkeley BART station.

Traveling to Berkeley by BART

The downtown Berkeley BART station is on the red and the orange lines, and is the closest station to the workshop location, the David Brower Center, and to downtown Berkeley hotels. From the San Franciso Airport, SFO, access the red line headed towards Richmond, or take the yellow line and switch to the red line at the 19th St. or MacArthur stations in Oakland. From the Oakland Airport, OAK, take the airport bus to the Coliseum/Oakland Airport station. Then take the orange line towards Richmond. Traveling to Berkeley by Car

Directions to the University of California Berkeley Campus from the north, south and east, which is just adjacent to the downtown Berkeley area where the workshop will take place, can be found here.

Local The Downtown Berkeley Bart station is just two blocks from the David Brower Center, at 2150 Allston Way. The Hotel Shattuck Plaza is at 2086 Allston Way. (Both locations are indicated on the map.) The University of California Berkeley Campus is just east of downtown. Many restaurants, shops and other hotels can also be found locally.
Parking Valet parking is available through the Hotel Shattuck Plaza. The Oxford Garage is located at 2161 Kittredge St. between Shattuck and Oxford, just south of the David Brower Center. Other public garages can also be found nearby.
Lodging (Please Make Reservations Early) We currently have several rooms reserved at the Hotel Shattuck Plaza in downtown Berkeley, 1 block from the David Brower Center. There are single rooms with one queen-size bed and double rooms with two. We have a group rate for these rooms of $145.00 per night. Each individual guest must make their own reservations by: 1. Calling 866-466-9199 by Friday, April 22, 2011. If calling, workshop participants must identify themselves as a member of the "Fluxnet Conference Group". or 2.
