Happy Chinese New Year!

The Chinese New Year always falls on a different day since it's based on the lunar calendar. In some countries, everyone gets about 9 days off to celebrate the new year. People usually celebrate by eating the traditional foods: fish, meat, long noodles, clementines, lettuce, dumplings...the chinese names for these foods sound like "prosperity" and "luck," so people eat them in hope that the new year will bring luck and prosperity, too.

I wish I could've spent Chinese New Year with my family. I can't wait to go home for spring break. Only one and a half months away! I've also decided not to stay in Berkeley this summer and go back to Socal and take an MCAT prep class, instead.

Anyways, happy Chinese New Year!
