UCSF Seeks Volunteers

Volunteers wanted for the Memory and Aging Center at UCSF!

The center works with individuals with cognitive problems and degenerative brain diseases, and educates health professionals, patients and their families.

Bilingual Chinese/English strongly encouraged to apply since one of the programs is an outreach effort in Chinatown working with Chinese speaking patients. However, all interested students are welcome.

Contact Hilary Ong for more information.

Dear College of Natural Resources

My name is Hilary Ong. I was a former student in CNR Department of Nutrition, and have such great memories of when I was a student!

I am writing to ask if any students would be interested in volunteering for the Memory and Aging Center at UCSF (http://memory.ucsf.edu/index.html) for the summer? Our center works with individuals with cognitive problems and degenerative diseases in our Memory clinic, conducts research on causes and cures for degenerative brain diseases, and educates health professionals, patients, and their families. I think this is a great opportunity for students who are interested in neuroscience, cognition and psychology, and would like to work in UCSF.

We are seeking students who preferably can speak and read Chinese, because one of our programs here is an Outreach effort in Chinatown working with Chinese speaking patients. However, anyone who would like to learn more about our center and is interested in volunteering please feel free to contact me.

Also, please feel free to forward this email to any department you think is appropriate.

If students are interested, please have them contact me directly via email hong@memory.ucsf.edu with their resume attached.

Thank you for your attention!

Sincerely,

Hilary
