SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, AND SOCIETY CENTER SUMMER GRANTS PROGRAM
Amount: $500. Applications can be submitted by any Berkeley undergraduate not graduating at the end of the 2008 Spring semester. Intended for summer research projects that address issues of science, technology, and society. Topics should be consonant with STSC's mission to advance understanding of scientific and technological practice and knowledge in their local, national and international settings, promoting scholarship regarding their deep intertwinings in society. 2 participants.

BERKELEY SUMMER BIOENGINEERING RESEARCH PROGRAM
Amount: $3,300 Any major OK; apply any year. Must apply to one of the projects listed on the website (posted in March, 2008). Participants work in campus or UCSF bioengineering lab all summer, present research; Biotech industry tour. 20-25
