NYU's Post-Bac Prehealth Program
Through this program, college graduates can take the science courses needed for application to many health professional schools, including medical and dental programs.
The program is designed specifically for "Career Changers" or those who have not taken the prerequisite science courses while an undergraduate.
Students enrolled in our program sit alongside undergraduates in the College of Arts and Science classes taught by NYU's distinguished faculty.
Throughout their time here, students receive individualized advisement from the preprofessional center and have access to all the resources and facilities open to undergraduates.
Each post-bac student who chooses to apply to a health professional school also receives the support of the Committee on Recommendations to Schools of the Health Professions.
Students from our program have been offered admission to, among others, the medical schools of Cornell, NYU, UCSF, John Hopkins, and Yale. We also have "linkage programs"
with several medical schools, which permits students to begin medical school a year earlier than would otherwise be possible.
For more information, you can access our website at http://www.nyu.edu/cas/prehealth/postbacc/index.html.
Applications are now available as online submissions. We are currently accepting applications to begin our program in the fall, with an application deadline of July 1st, 2008.
If you have any questions regarding the program, please contact Soomie Han at: soomie.han@nyu.edu or (212) 998-8136.
