We have a jam-packed schedule for you all to explore your majors, learn about student research, and attend many other events CNR-related. Keep checking this website for future information about jobs, scholarships, and other useful and exciting information!

New Student Chats
Come by the CNR Student Resource Center to meet other new students in CNR, re-connect with friends from CalSO and Cal Day, share your first week's experiences and concerns, and talk with advisors and ask them questions.

Overview of CNR Majors
Still undecided about your major? Want to explore what CNR has to offer? Come by to one of our sessions for general major information for students in the beginning stages of exploring a CNR major. Intended for students who want to take a closer look, but aren't ready to declare.

Transfer Student Research Info Session
When: Thursday, August 27
Time: 5-6:30pm
Location: 2063 VLSB

Advisors and current students will be on hand to give advice and answer a variety of questions such as: What is research? How do I find a lab position? How can conducting research benefit me?

Your time at Cal is limited, so start thinking about research today! Hope to see you all there!


Biology Major Fair
When: Friday, Sept 11, 2009
Time: 11am - 2pm
Location: MLK Student Union, Pauley Ballroom

Come meet with representatives of all the biology majors in the College of Letters & Science and the College of Natural Resources, as well as representatives from many other departments, such as the Career Center, Programs for Student Abroad...and more!


Environmental Science Majors
Are you a new CNR student? Want to learn more about ES from ES students?

You are invited to attend the New ES Student Get Together this Friday, August 28 from 5:00-6:00pm in 260 Mulford Hall. Learn more about ESSA (ES Student Association) and meet other new students!

Want to learn more about CNR Sponsored Projects for Undergraduate Research (SPUR)?

Come by to one of our SPUR Info Sessions to learn about how to apply to SPUR, as well as how to find more research opportunities on campus. All sessions will take place in 260 Mulford:

Thurs 8/27 9:00-10:00am, 4:00-5:00pm
Fri 8/28 12:00-1pm, 4:00-5:00pm

The Fall SPUR and URAP (Undergraduate Research Apprentice Program) deadline is Wednesday, September 2nd, at 5:00pm. Don't miss out!
