The Green Initiative Fund (TGIF) Now Accepting Grant Applications for 2010
Every year The Green Initiative Fund (TGIF) grants $250,000 to campus projects which address sustainability, and we are now accepting applications for the 2010 grant cycle!

Applicants are now REQUIRED to submit a project abstract to the committee prior to submitting an application – visit http://tgif.berkeley.edu to download the guidelines for submission. All students, staff, or faculty can apply, deadlines for abstract submission are January 19th and February 15th.

2009 UC Berkeley Prize Contests
Write an essay or a poem, submit a musical score, take a great photograph --- and win a prize! Cash awards are offered in a great variety of fields - Creative Writing, Political Science, Philosophy, Classics and many others. Prize amounts vary from $50 to $5000. All competitions are open to students of any major. The deadline for most entries is Tuesday, December 1, 2009.

UC Berkeley Business Plan Competition Mixer at College of Engineering

Calling all entrepreneurs! Enter your business plan to the 12th annual U.C. Berkeley Business Plan Competition to win up to $30,000 in prizes! The Competition’s four industry tracks, each with $6,000 in prizes, offer prize potential across all interests and disciplines.

We invite all Cal students, alumni and faculty to join students from the Haas School of Business and Berkeley’s finest engineering talent at our next mixer on Monday, November 16. Discuss your ideas, meet potential partners, hear from past winners and learn more about the Competition.
