I. Commencement Registration - DEADLINE TOMORROW!
The deadline to register for commencement is TOMORROW, Saturday, April 10. Visit http://nature.berkeley.edu/site/commencement_form.php to register. Please note: This is a firm deadline. Students will not be able to register after this deadline.

II. Tele-BEARS Advising Appointments Have Begun
Tele-BEARS advising appointments have begun.Declared students should have received an email from their major advisor. Undeclared students were sent an email on Friday, April 2 with instructions for setting up an appointment. If you are undeclared, you may visit http://nature.berkeley.edu/site/advising_appointments.php to schedule an appointment with an undeclared advisor. Please come to your appointment prepared.

III. DEADLINE EXTENDED! SPUR-Research Experience for CNR Students!
Apply for Summer Faculty Sponsored Projects NOW! Deadline to apply extended to 4/12.

Apply online, then upload your resume, cover letter/statement, unofficial transcripts by 4/12.

Students are not paid, but you get research experience!

Faculty receive funds to support undergraduate research. SPUR is funded by CNR Alumni!

Please join us for a poster session. Students from all majors will be displaying their research for your viewing. Come support them!

We'd like to arrange one or two student panels in April so you can share your experience and advice with CNR students/future applicants.

VII. Horace Albright Lecture in Conservation - April 27, 2010

The April 2010 issue of National Geographic will be devoted to a single topic: fresh water. With striking visuals and in-depth reporting, we will focus on the emerging challenge of global freshwater shortages and the choices ahead as the world manages a limited supply. This coverage continues the magazine's tradition of documenting key environmental issues and educating readers to care about the planet. Chris Johns will provide insight into key freshwater issues facing us today as reported by a team of renowned National Geographic contributors.
