I. Weekday Volunteers Needed in Award-winning Eco- Education Programs

Golden Gate Audubon, one of California’s oldest conservation groups, needs WEEKDAY volunteers this school year to work in our award-winning Eco- Education Programs based in East Oakland and North Richmond.
Come work with 3rd, 4th and 5th graders during their second environmental education field trip of the year. Their next trip will be to a local creek.

Help teach tomorrow’s leaders the importance of protecting the San Francisco Bay and East Bay watersheds as we:
-catch and study benthic macro-invertebrates to assess the quality of the water
-observe wildlife within the creek habitat
-study native flora
-conduct habitat clean-ups

-Field trips generally run from 9:30 am – 1:30 pm.
-No commitments necessary and every effort helps!
-Carpools arranged
-Internships also available

Those interested will receive a (low-stress) training on their first day in the field. We will send you preparation materials prior to your joining us.
