At Duke University’s School of The Environment, we believe that dealing with environmental challenges demands professionals who have studied issues from a variety of disciplines.
When students choose the Nicholas School they are ensuring that they will gain the skills and tools necessary to take the much-needed broad approach to the world’s ecosystem problems which range from science to policy to economics to business and beyond. Rigorous academic study is complemented by unique access to natural ecological laboratories and the 7, –plus acre Duke Forest in Durham and the year-round Duke University Marine Laboratory on the Atlantic Coast.
