III. Digital Berkeley: Making Open Educational Resources
A new student-facilitated course debuts this fall: Digital Berkeley: Making Open Educational Resources (Info 98/198 Sec 2, Thursday 5-7pm, 2-3 units)

As a professor, lecturer, or other educator, this course provides you the opportunity to have your course materials made more widely and freely available, as legal, digital, accessible, usable Open Educational Resources (OER), which can be shared online.

The course will begin with an overview of the Open Education movement, copyright, and alternative licensing. As students become comfortable with these basic topics, they will begin to work on their semester-long OER projects. Precise statements of the course outline and schedule are available here: http://www.decal.org/digital.

Forward enrollment inquiries to mattsenate@berkeley.edu. Students should attend the first day of class--this Thursday September 5, 5-7pm in 212 Wheeler Hall.
