I. Intramural NIAID Research Opportunities (INRO)
Visit the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and explore a career in the biomedical sciences. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), part of NIH, is accepting applications for the 2011 Intramural NIAID Research Opportunities (INRO) program. Participants will have the opportunity to:

* Hear scientific lectures from prominent scientists.
* Interview with scientists for potential research training positions.
* Tour Institute laboratories and see state-of-the-science technologies.

II. University of Virginia Summer Research Internship Program (SRIP)
Ten week summer research internships are available for qualified undergraduates considering a career in biomedical research. We provide a generous stipend, round-trip travel, and housing to those accepted. Supported by peer-reviewed NIH grants and other extramural organizations, SRIP exposes a diverse group of students to current biomedical research. SRIP alumni have had great success at starting their research careers and many have enrolled in our graduate programs at UVA. Free GRE prep course offered!
