I. Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U)
Apply now to attend the fourth annual meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U), hosted by President Clinton at the University of California, San Diego from April 1-3, 2011! CGI U is President Clinton’s initiative designed to engage the next generation of leaders on college campuses around the world. Each CGI U student member makes a Commitment to Action: a specific plan of action that addresses a pressing challenge on their campus, in their community, or in a different part of the world. Click here to submit a Commitment to Action and apply for the meeting. Applying and attending are free. Students are admitted on a rolling basis. Space at the CGI U 2011 will likely be filled after the early decision deadline so Apply today! Limited travel and/or lodging assistance is available to those who qualify. Apply for travel assistance when you apply to attend the meeting.

The early decision deadline for applying to attend the meeting is November 30, 2010. The final decision deadline is February 7, 2011.

III. Magnolia Project at Cal Corps
Interested in the spending part of your summer rebuilding the Gulf Coast? Join The Magnolia Project in its 5th summer working in solidarity with New Orleans residents and grassroots organizations!

Formed in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, The Magnolia Project (MP) is a student service organization created in collaboration with the Cal Corps Public Service Center. We are committed to working in solidarity with Gulf Coast communities, specifically New Orleans, to create a more sustainable, equitable Gulf Coast community. MP offers a 3 week Summer Service Trip, an 8 week Summer Internship Program, and a Semester long exchange with The University of New Orleans.
