I. Commencement Tickets
We are looking forward to CNR’s Commencement Ceremony at 9:00a.m. on Sunday, May 15, at the Greek Theatre. Please carefully read the information below about ticket sales and other pertinent information regarding commencement. For more information, please visit or email

Graduating Students: Your four free commencement tickets will be available for pick-up during business hours (M-F 8:00 a.m.-12 noon, 1-5:00 p.m.) at 260 Mulford Hall starting Friday, April 15, 2011. Be sure to present identification in order to pick up your tickets. Be sure to read all the important information in your ticket envelope.

Deadline: The deadline to pick up your four free tickets is Tuesday, May 10, 2011. After this deadline, tickets will only be available for purchase at Zellerbach box office.

Extra Tickets: To purchase extra tickets at $5 each, please visit the Zellerbach box office. For more information, please visit Tickets will be on sale through May 15, 2011. You may purchase as many extra tickets as you please.

Lecture Title: Hans Jenny & The Genius of Soil

Reception: following the lecture
Professor Sposito holds the Betty and Isaac Barshad Chair in Soil Science at Berkeley. He was a personal friend of Hans Jenny for nearly 30 years. Professor Sposito whose academic degrees are in agriculture, specializes in physical chemistry applied to natural waters and soils. He has been elected a Fellow of six international scientific societies and has received numerous awards for his teaching and research. In 2008 he was designated a Legend in Environmental Chemistry by the American Chemistry Society, the world's largest scientific organization.
