II. Psychology Undergraduate Research Conference
We would like to invite you to Berkeley's Second Annual Psychology Undergraduate Research Conference. BerkPURC, which will be held on Sunday, May 1, 2011, on the UC Berkeley campus, provides undergraduate, postbacc, and high school students with the opportunity to showcase their research in the form of paper and poster sessions and to interact with the leading researchers and theorists in psychology and psychology-related fields.

If you have completed research in Psychology or Psychology-related fields, such as Linguistics, Cognitive Science, or Education, we would like to encourage you to submit an abstract of your research to be considered for presentation at the conference. While it is only required to submit an abstract, if you have a completed paper of your work, we highly recommend submitting this as well, as this will allow us to more properly evaluate your work. THE ABSTRACT DEADLINE HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO APRIL 6th, and the early registration deadline is April 18th.

For more information about registering for the conference as an attendee or presenter and submitting an abstract, please visit our website at http://www.purc-berkeley.org and simply fill out the form on the "Registration" page. If you have any questions, feel free to email us at berkpsychjournal@gmail.com. We hope to see you in May!

III. BERC White Papers
The BERC White Papers is the new program of BERC that brings together UC Berkeley students with similar interests and unique knowledge sets to work together on research concerning energy and natural resource matters. Participating teams of 2-3 students will have a great opportunity to:

* Explore a research topic requiring cross-disciplinary analysis
* Produce a quality research document for publication in a peer-reviewed journal

You may propose research questions or simply fill out an application and be matched with a project proposed by another student. BERC White Papers teams will be composed of graduate students who will receive guidance and support from affiliated faculty mentors. If you have an idea worth exploring, even if it is not related to an ongoing research, we also highly encourage you to submit a proposal! If you have questions about the program or the application process, reply to: BERCWhitePapers@gmail.com.
