I. LBL Research Assistant Position
The Position
Seeking a Student Assistant to collect, synthesize, and analyze price and efficiency data for appliance markets outside of the United States. These efforts will contribute a multi-country model that estimates financial, energy, and emissions impacts of efficiency improvement, allowing for the identification of the most appropriate policies and technologies available.

Responsibilities
This work includes evaluating the compatibility of datasets across countries, extracting relevant information from online sources and publications, consolidating key data into new datasets, analyzing quality of datasets and methodologies, and documenting and inputting your work into our energy and economic models. Work will be guided and supervised, but we are looking for those who can also self-manage, and creatively and effectively develop solutions.

Qualifications & Experience
A quantitative background, with technical education or work-experience required. Knowledge and experience in energy and policy topics will be beneficial to the tasks assigned, but not essential. Skills using Microsoft Excel is critical, and familiarity with Endnote is a plus.
