I. Integral Consulting - Multiple Positions Available
Integral Consulting Inc. (www.integral-corp.com ) is a national science and engineering firm providing multidisciplinary services in the fields of environmental science and engineering, health, ecology, aquatic sciences, geology and hydrology, atmospheric science, and environmental chemistry. We are currently seeking highly motivated and skilled individuals for the following positions at our Seattle, Washington and Annapolis, Maryland offices. Candidates must have superior quantitative skills, strong organizational abilities, a professional demeanor, excellent written and oral communication skills, and very importantly, a desire to learn and grow both intellectually and professionally.

Senior Scientist, ecological risk assessor (Annapolis, MD) - Candidate must hold an M.S. or Ph.D. in a relevant discipline, including but not limited to ecology, toxicology and environmental sciences. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 10 years experience in performing ecological risk assessment with demonstrated expertise in terrestrial and/or aquatic ecology, toxicology, and statistics/modeling. Candidate will also have project management experience. The desired candidate will be a detailed-oriented individual who can provide technical, strategic and management support on client projects as well as on business development efforts for our growing environmental practice.

Scientist, ecological risk assessor (Seattle, WA) – The candidate will have an M.S. or Ph.D. in a relevant discipline, including but not limited to ecology, fisheries sciences, biological oceanography, toxicology and environmental sciences. The candidate will have 2 to 4 years experience in performing ecological risk assessment, with special expertise in ecotoxicology, fisheries and/or ecological modeling. Responsibilities for this position include those associated with all aspects of ecological risk assessment, including but not limited to developing spreadsheets and database management, environmental data evaluation and statistical analysis, literature research, analysis, and synthesis, hazard assessment, dose-response evaluation, food-chain modeling, and report preparation.

Research Associate, environmental sciences (Two positions available; one in MD and one in Seattle, WA) – General qualifications include a recently completed B.S. in the natural or life sciences from an accredited U.S. college or university. The ideal candidate will be a recently graduating senior with completion of course work in biology, general ecology, aquatic ecology, environmental sciences, chemistry, ecotoxicology, calculus, and geology. Responsibilities for this position include those associated with all aspects of supporting our environmental practice, including but not limited to developing spreadsheets and database management, environmental data evaluation and statistical analysis, literature research and analysis, and providing support in report preparation. Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel, and Statistica, Systat, Matlab or other comparable statistical analysis software is desired.

Do you want to learn how to cook with real chefs while helping children discover the importance of cooking with real ingredients? Sprouts Cooking Club is looking for summer camp counselors for 4 weeks starting June 11th until August 5th. Camps take place at the Ferry Building, SF restaurants, as well as the Whole Foods Berkeley and Berkeley restaurants.

III. NeWER Approaches Internship
NeWER (Near West Empowerment and Renewal) Approaches, a project of the Ohio Student Environmental Coalition and Grand Aspirations, is recruiting applicants for our 11-week summer program on the Near West Side of Cleveland. If you are interested in local foods, building the green economy, community organizing, public art, or high-impact, challenging environmental and community-building activism, we strongly encourage you to consider applying to spend your summer with NeWER Approaches. Program participants will work in teams focusing on developing public art to inspire community action, promoting food access through distribution and spreading cooking knowledge, and sustainable cooperative neighborhood development and entrepreneurship; and will build essential skills, connections and experiences that will serve them wherever they go.
