You do not need to come in and meet with your major advisor a second time, but you will need to use the advisor code you were given during Phase I. The economy stinks, but your career search doesn’t have to! Learn from recent CNR grads about navigating the job market and building an exciting career in the world’s craziest economy. Open your eyes to new opportunities, learn valuable tips and skills, and enjoy some snacks while you’re at it.
Speaker David C Brower (CRS Grad, 2009) is currently a project manager at ICF International, a major consulting firm with a robust energy and sustainability practice. David’s work involves implementing and administering energy efficiency programs for a local-government partnership between the City of San Francisco and Pacific Gas and Electric Company. David received a Conservation and Research Studies degree in 2009, focused on “International Conservation and Environmental Business.”

Check out the CNR Summer Research Poster Showcase! CNR students from a various majors will share posters showcasing their Summer 2011 research activities. Hear about their experiences and find out how you can get involved in exciting research around the world. Pizza and drinks will be provided!

Each semester and summer, CNR students may apply to participate in undergraduate research with CNR faculty through the SPUR. Research funds, to cover research expenses, are provided by CNR alumni.
Student Initiated Project deadline, 12/9, 5:00 PM (Open to juniors and seniors)

If you are a CNR junior or senior, and you've been doing research with a CNR faculty member, and wish to request funding for Spring 2012, please see the SPUR website: http://nature.berkeley.edu/site/spur_students.php.
Faculty Initiated Projects will be posted in early January. Students apply between 1/9/12 - 1/23/12. CNR faculty will be seeking sophomores, juniors, seniors to join them and/or their grad students on research projects for Spring semester.
