Nov. 17 | Give input on Berkeley's weaknesses in Energy and Climate
Are you interested in energy and climate? Have you wondered how to voice your opinion on the way Cal researches, teaches and collaborates on these issues? This is an easy way to get involved. We need your opinions about how Berkeley can improve Energy and Climate programming. A group of BERC students is currently working with the newly established Berkeley Energy and Climate Institute to understand the current state of energy programming at Berkeley.
Please come attend the Focus Group Session on Thursday, November 17th from
6 to 7pm to identify Berkeley's weaknesses in Energy and Climate and to explore ways
to improve Berkeley's Energy and Climate activities. Your feedback and contributions
will have a direct impact on the future of energy research and education at CAL! All majors and grades are welcome, whether you are a novice or just getting interested. Bring friends and anyone you know that will be interested. As an extra incentive, pizza will be served!
Please visit this page to RSVP for the event:

Nov. 17 | Enjoy a free screening of The Green Horns
There will be a free screening of The Greenhorns at the Cloyne Community Potluck and Movie Night on Thursday, November 17th at 7:30 pm. The film explores the lives of America's young farming community - its spirit, practices, and needs. It is the filmmaker's hope that by broadcasting the stories and voices of these young farmers, we can build the case for those considering a career in agriculture - to embolden them, to entice them, and to recruit them into farming. The director of the film graduated from UC Berkeley's College of Natural Resource Studies and while on campus founded the Society for Agriculture and Food Ecology. After the film screening five farmers featured in the documentary will be on hand for a panel discussion. To watch the trailer visit: http://www.thegreenhorns.net/
