Feb. 15 | Receive money to aid research from Berkeley Sigma Xi
These awards are modest, generally in the range of $300 to $500, and are intended for support of direct expenses incurred by the students in the conduct of their research. Consumable supplies and travel costs associated with the conduct of research are the most commonly supported budget items. (The chapter does not support conference travel.) Awardees are also nominated to the society and their initiation fee and first year's membership costs are provided.
