Nov 28 | Call for Submissions: Green Living Project's Student Film Project Contest

Green Living Project is excited to present the biannual Student Film Project, a unique filmmaking competition encouraging students to get directly involved with innovative storytelling and filmmaking around important local and global sustainability issues.

In 5 minutes or less, we want your short film to tell a unique, creative, and compelling story about a local or global sustainability-related project. For ideas about topics, style and storytelling, we suggest you watch previous Student Film Project winners and check out Green Living Project’s sustainability-related videos online on our resources page along with the tips and links listed. Sample sustainability topics include wildlife conservation, sustainable food, resource conservation, community development, renewable energy, sustainability-related education, and sustainable travel and tourism.

The Spring 2012 SFP contest inspired dozens of quality submissions and concluded with the grand prize winning film being screened at GLP’s “DC Film Premiere” on May 30th. See the three winning films (one from each category – middle school, high school, and college) on our website. We’re now accepting submissions for the fall Student Film Project!

Fall 2012 submission deadline: November 28th, 2012

Winning films will be screened at Green Living Project’s Los Angeles Film Premiere in December! Date and location to be announced.
