Nov 29 | Sustainable Community Development Projects in Nicaragua

Info Session:

Thursday, November 29, 2012 at 7pm – 265 McCone Hall

We need your help to stop hunger and unsustainable agricultural practices in the impoverished community of Chacraseca, Nicaragua. Join other UC Berkeley students this spring break to provide a sustainable food supply and community education that will empower the local community to meet its own agricultural and development needs. You will get hands on experience in the field, working directly with community members to develop strategies to address reforestation and sustainable agriculture. The project is also coordinated by a local Agroecologist trained in biointensive farming methods and sustainable community development. Stop by our info session to find out how you can be involved in this amazing program and how to get sponsored to support your travel costs. (Speaking Spanish is not mandatory - translators are provided).
