Are you interested in learning more about the field of dietetics, becoming
a registered dietitian or the dietetics track of the Nutritional Science

Come learn more by attending an informal information session held by
Mikelle McCoin, Director of the Dietetics Program.

December 5, 11-12 pm, 138 Morgan Hall

This session will review the profession of dietetics, the educational
pathway of becoming a registered dietitian and how to declare the
dietetics track.

Spring 2013 | Deadlines for Sponsored Projects for Undergraduate Research (SPUR)

Sponsored Projects for Undergraduate Research (SPUR) Deadlines for Spring 2013
Each semester and summer, CNR students may apply to participate in undergraduate research with CNR faculty through the Sponsored Projects for Undergraduate Research (SPUR) program. Funding for the program is generously donated by CNR alumni. Students have the option to apply for funding for their own research project, or apply to work on a research project conducted by CNR faculty.

Upcoming Deadlines:
--Student-Initiated Proposal Deadline: Monday, December 17, 5:00 PM (Open to juniors and seniors)
--Students apply to Faculty-Initiated Projects between January 7- 28 (Open to sophomores, juniors, seniors)

Student-Initiated Proposals:

If you are a CNR junior or senior, and you've been doing research with a CNR faculty member, and wish to request funding for Spring 2013, please see the SPUR website: The deadline to submit a proposal is Monday, December 17.

The research project proposal must include:
--Project title
--Abstract, background
--Objectives and hypothesis
--Expected results
--Detailed budget proposal including: expected expenses for each semester of project, amount of SPUR funding being requested for duration of project, other sources of funding for the remainder of the project costs

Faculty-Initiated Projects:

Faculty-Initiated Projects will be posted in January; Students apply between January 7 - 28
CNR faculty will be seeking sophomores, juniors, seniors to join them and/or their grad students on research projects for the fall semester. To apply, students will need a resume, unofficial copy of their transcript, and a statement/cover letter.
