CALPIRG is part of a federation of state-based public interest advocacy groups. And working together we have a much greater opportunity to make a difference. We have a 40-year track record of organizing on these issues, and, we’re hiring graduating seniors to jump right in and make a critical impact as a campus organizer or in our fellowship program.

Learn more about both of these positions at

We will be holding an information session and interviews on campus Thursday, February 28th and Friday, March 1st.

I encourage you to find out more and apply!

Feb 28 | The Student Dietetic Association Workshop

Interested in nutrition? health? wellness? Then perhaps the dietetics major is for you! Here at UCB, the Nutritional Sciences department houses two nutrition majors, Dietetics and Physiology and Metabolism. Of those two, the dietetics major prepares students to become registered dietitians. UCB is one of only two UC campuses with such a major (the other being UC Davis).

The Student Dietetic Association will be hosting a workshop to explain the dietetics major, the process of becoming a registered dietitian, and career opportunities. We will also briefly be contrasting the two Nutritional Sciences tracts for those interested in learning about Physiology and Metabolism.

We encourage everyone and anyone interested in nutrition or health to come!

The workshop will be held Thursday 2/28/13 from 5-6:30PM in 155 Barrows.
