Nov 13 | Study Abroad Workshop

The workshop will take place on Wednesday November 13 from 5-7 in 130 Dwinelle

Are you about to study abroad, or just thinking about it? Then come to the Study Abroad Workshop sponsored by Berkeley Study Abroad and the ASUC Student Advocate's Office. We will be giving a short introduction to Berkeley’s EAP offerings, and going over a comprehensive list of measures that you can take both to ensure that all your academic requirements are taken care of before you go abroad, and to ensure that you can graduate in time once you get back! EAP and peer advisors and will be available to answer any questions that you may have.

There will be free food!

The Women’s Environmental Network (WEN) is pleased to present an inspirational Career Panel featuring three accomplished women in the energy field. Please join us for an unique opportunity to hear from amazing women who have made their way to the top of their professions! Our one-hour panel will focus on the lessons these incredible women learned while building their careers. Participate in the pre- and post-panel networking while enjoying light hors d'oeuvres and wine. You will make powerful new connections and generate strategies to further your own career aspirations!

Join us for a conversation with Kathleen Merrigan, former U.S. Deputy Secretary of Agriculture under President Obama, and Michael Pollan, Knight Professor of Science and Environmental Journalism, UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism. Linda Schacht, UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism, will moderate.

Public transportation is encouraged. The event will be videotaped and available online.

The event is free and open to the public. Seating is limited and on a first-come basis. Free tickets will be available in person (one ticket per person present) at the Wheeler Auditorium Box Office beginning at 5:30 p.m. the day of the event. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
