The Warn Me Emergency Alert System

This isn't specific to CNR, but it's important nontheless (from http://warnme.berkeley.edu/):

WarnMe is UC Berkeley's alerting and warning service for students, staff, and faculty. It is activated to contact you when there is an immediate threat to safety or health affecting the campus community. WarnMe can alert you by phone, text message, or email — you choose the best ways to reach you.

Be safe out there.

Did you know that CNR students share a college blog, where they tell the world what it’s like to go to Cal?

Thousands of students who are considering Berkeley (along with many others around the world) read Fresh Faces.

If you think you’d be a great ambassador for CNR – or if you just have a great story to tell – it’s easy to get involved. Any CNR student can post an entry by visiting:
http://nature.berkeley.edu/blognow.

Or, if you’d like to join our lineup of regularly appearing bloggers, email Eva at stclair@nature.berkeley.edu.

CNR in the news!

CNR has a new major, Society & Environment, effective Fall 2006 through the department of Environmental Science, Policy, and Management. Read all about it in a recent article in the Daily Cal:

www.dailycal.org/sharticle.php?id=21193

The new major enhances CNR's strength as a college poised to solve environmental problems. But while the story's headline dubs CNR as the "Environmental College," the S&E major is really one piece of a much broader landscape focused on sustaining environmental, economic, and human health.
