Established in 1934, The Leadership Award is one of the most prestigious merit-based scholarships at UC Berkeley. The Leadership Award is a one-year, merit-based scholarship that recognizes Cal students who demonstrate innovative, motivational leadership impacting their academic, work, or community environments. Students compete for the scholarship every academic year.
This scholarship offers current Cal undergraduate students an award for $1500-$2500 for one year for in recognition for innovative, motivational leadership impacting their academic, work, or community environments.

The California Legislative Black Caucus Announces Youth Leadership Scholarship Program
The CLBC Youth Leadership Scholarship Program is accepting the first round of applications during the month of April. The two thousand dollar ($2,000) scholarships for at-risk students will support students attending college this year. Application requirements include personal statements regarding leadership and community service, letters of recommendation, transcripts, and a signed application. The application, which must be submitted by April 30, 2010, can be downloaded at:http://www.asmdc.org/caucus/legislative_black_caucus/index.php.

American Indian and Alaska Native students are invited to apply for pre-graduate scholarships from the Indian Health Service. Applicants must be U.S. citizens who can document that they meet Tribal membership requirements and are enrolled in courses leading to a bachelor's degree in specific pre-professional areas as needed by Indian Health programs.

Attached is information about the Redwood Region Logging Conference's Ron Adams and Emmanuel Fritz Scholarship opportunities for students currently enrolled in the Forestry program at UC Berkley. Emphasis will be placed on students who are planning to become Registered Professional Foresters. GPA will be considered, but will not be the highest priority.

We just received information about a wonderful scholarship. The Hispanic Scholarship Fund and Macy's have partnered for a brand new scholarship program. This program will be awarding $5,000 scholarships to Cal Berkeley, Hispanic students!
The Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF) and Macy's have partnered to provide financial resources to assist outstanding Latino undergraduate students. This scholarship is open to students attending selected universities. The award amount is $5,000 to be disbursed in Fall 2010.
Selected students may have the opportunity to participate in a summer internship with Macy's in the Summer of 2010. Students must answer the internship question on their application.
