I wanna be like.... when I grow up!!
There are several people in my life who have influenced me to become the person I am today. Of course my family is a great part of my life who have motivated me to stay focused on my goals and have been so supportive in everything I do. But there is one person that I can always count on and has always been there to support me.
An individual I greatly admire is Jocelyn Ajero Evangelista. She is a wife, mother of two, a grandmother of four, and a wonderful person. As long as I have known her, she has always been someone I try to model myself after. She always puts her family before herself and does everything she can to help them succeed. Even though she may not agree with the choices her children make, she is still there as their number one supporter everyday. She adjusts her schedule to be able to pick up her grandkids from school, while working part time as a RN to continue putting one of her children through school.
Through times of hardship, she always remains strong and composed to make sure what needs to get done is done properly. Without her I'm not sure I would have been able to overcome the obstacles I came across in my life. Her support made me strong and willing to fight whatever came my way. She is someone that I can always laugh with and confide in. She always has my best interest in mind, not because she has to, but because that's how she is with everyone she cares about. She never gives up and motivates me to do the same. She touches the hearts of everyone she meets because of her friendly, outgoing personality. I love her very much. She is my mother.
