Is it time for exams already?

It seems like school has just started and exams are already in progress? Wow, time sure flies when you are in school. Many of you have probably already had your first exam (yes I like to call them exams because since when are there more than 1 middle of the semester?) Or maybe you have your first exam next week like I do. But regardless, you are probably wondering how do I study now that I have just transitioned from a fun summer to actually sitting down and studying for exams?

Well, heres what I usually do when exam season rolls around. I usually start reviewing the material for my exam a week and a weekend before my exam. (Like for my midterms next week I started studying this past weekend). I usually start re-reading or going over the flashcards I have made, or even do the problem sets again that were assigned. Also, I will start going to the library during my breaks between classes instead of hanging out with friends or eating a long relaxing lunch. With that being said, my favorite library to go to is definitely VLSB. I like this library because its bright, quiet and comfortable (especially with the bright lights they have over the tables). I also recommend the chemistry library if you are working in groups, because you can tend to be able to be louder than at most libraries (unlike Doe where I feel if you even whisper you are stared at).

However, it's not only important to just be able to sit down and actually study, but its also important to take care of yourself. Yes, you still need to take the time to eat well balanced meals, and sleep at least 6-8 hours a night. Otherwise, all that studying that you may have done may actually not pay off because you were so tired during your midterm that all you could think about was going to sleep. Well thats about all the advice I can give. I hope that it helped you, but now you should get studying! =)
