Some ideas for Internship and Research positions
It is the time of the year when everyone is finishing up the last midterms, and now awaiting for finals. Winter break will be right around the corner along with the holiday season. I hope everyone can take a break from busy school work and also enjoy the holiday with friends and family. I personally think that winter break would be a good time to explore and look around for summer internship and research opportunities.
There are different resources can help finding a summer program that fits your personal interests and serves a purpose of academic enrichment. First of all, career center provides a wide selection of internship and externship. For those of you who want to stay around campus, there are different opportunities to get involved in the community. You can always ask professors in the of fields of your interest about their experience in the past and recommendation for some summer programs to enrich your knowledge. I think it will be helpful to talk to your fellow classmate as well; it will give you some perspectives from first-hand experience. In the CNR student resource center, 260 Mulford, we also have a binder with the lists of internship and research positions for different areas of study. For those of you who want to pursue a career in the health field, I found this website is resourceful to look for summer internship program. Hopefully this will help you out to brainstorm some ideas!!!
