Thanksgiving!
Its that time of year, Halloween has passed, its now November, midterm
season is just about done with, and its almost time to go home for the
holidays, starting with Thanksgiving of course (my favorite holiday). Let
me start off by telling you a little about myself and past.
I was born in Newport Beach, CA in the good ol’ Orange County on June 22, 1987 (yes, I guess you all now know my age..). I have lived in Orange County, Tustin
to be exact, all my life. Tustin, to be honest, isn't the most exciting city
in the world, yet it’s a nice place to live in, and I guess to settle down
for my parents. Although everything is driving distance away, sometimes
it’s nice having your yard space (especially in the eyes of my dog…).
Growing up, we were always having family get togethers, and my family has
been geographically very close by, at most being an hour and a half away
from each other. Among the get togethers, Thanksgiving is the time of
year that has always stood apart from the rest. Every year, my family
would switch off on who’s house to have it at, and therefore for who to
cook the turkey. We would always make Thanksgiving pot luck style where
everyone would bring a certain dish or dishes such as desserts,
vegetables, starches, etc. The dinner would usually either be at our
house, my maternal aunt and uncle’s house or my paternal aunt and uncle’s
house, depending on who wanted to slave over the turkey that specific
year. My grandparents (both maternal and paternal) would always come out
to whosever house Thanksgiving was being held at.
So with that being said, I am now starving for a Thanksgiving dinner right now! Hope everyone has an awesome thanksgiving break, and stuffs themselves to the rim!
