What to do with your Summer?

Although summer break is still more than 3 months away, it is not too early to plan for it now. There are many things that students can do to have a great and meaningful summer.

One of the most popular activities is to participate in an internship. As a sophomore, you should definitely think about applying for one. If you like the weather in the bay area, you can look for many local opportunities around Berkeley, SF or elsewhere from the website: Research.berkeley.edu. On the website, there are also many internships in other areas or states for those who like to have different living experiences. These internships can also be paid or non paid. Just be patient to go through the website and look for the one that fits your interest and condition. For freshman, you still have much time ahead, so just relax and enjoy your first summer break with your family and friends. However, if you want to be busy, you can enroll in summer courses to finish your lower division or breath requirements.
Getting a job is another option to make you busy over the summer. It is also a good way to gain experience as well as earn money to support for your study. If you are interested in finding a job, you can go to the Career Center's website or go to their office at 2111 Bancroft, 2nd floor to get more advices and information about job listings.

Well, that's all for the suggestions that I can give, so try to think about it and good luck in finding the right way to spend your summer.
