Study sites
It's that time of the semester when we're all spending lots of time with our books. I have never been able to get much work done in a quiet sterile environment like the typical library. I think it's that the silence distracts me to the point of putting my head down and nodding off! Instead I prefer places that are a little more lively with conversations and people moving around. It is possible that the activity holds me accountable to stay awake! My favorite places to study are typically cafes and coffee houses. Yes, I am completely biased, and if you know me then you know that I am always talking about Yali's on Oxford but really everything there is amazing from the strong coffee to the daily soups. My other favorite place close to campus for studying is cafe Milano on Bancroft. On a really nice day they open the skylight and the whole front of the restaurant so it feels like you're sitting on a veranda and the atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming. Happy studying!
