Keep your eye on the prize
The end is near!! The end of the semester that is.. As the last week of lecture begins and the despair and anxiety of finals looms, stay focused and keep in mind: you're almost done! While wrapping up final projects, papers, and preparing to buckle down for the finals crunch, things can get pretty stressful. Just know, at the end of this toiling journey is the bright shiny reward of summer! Then you can travel, study abroad, visit friends, take some more classes, or my personal goal, try as many new restaurants and eat as many things as possible. But let's not get ahead of ourselves here...we have yet to reach the end of our journey.
Anyway let's think about school some more, Telebears season is going strong and courses are filling up fast, so meet with your advisors, plan ahead what classes to take, and figure out which ones need to be added in Phase I. Don't forget that if you want to make changes AFTER your assigned Telebears appointment, you can do it during open hours, 7:00-8:00 A.M. and 7:00 P.M. to Midnight, Monday-Friday. As if planning your life for next fall isn't enough, I hope everyone is slowly hearing back from internships and jobs, or deciding where to go, what classes to take, etc. Planning for the immediate future is good too: think about how to pace your studies during dead week so you get the most out of it. I for one have already started thinking (or worrying) about my study schedule to maximize my information processing and, if possible, sleeping time. So in these coming weeks, keep working hard, because this is no time to slack. In the end, you will be generously rewarded for your labors with sunshine, beaches, ice cream, and that wonderful feeling of accomplishment.
