Planning Schedules!
Hey everyone! Telebears is quickly approaching so make sure to check your appointment times and contact your advisor to get your advisor code!
Picking classes and planning schedules can be tough, especially when classes fill up or you are looking to fill in that last historical studies breadth class. Make sure to take advantage of the resources CAL offers to help you pick the right courses to fit your interests and needs.
First, make sure to check the major requirements handout for your major to check that you are on track with all required courses. Make sure to prioritize these courses in phase 1 to ensure enrollment.
If you have room in your schedule or want to take an elective course, check out the schedule of classes for departments that interest you.
A couple of really helpful websites exist for schedule planning and picking courses:
NINJA COURSES: This website allows to pick classes and sections or labs to develop an electronic schedule to check time conflicts or compare schedules. You can use this to find which section time works best for you or if you want to plan your schedule so you do not have Friday class. You can also share your schedules with friends to see if any of your classes match up!

COURSE RANK: Course Rank has a fairly comprehensive list of Berkeley courses to choose from. Students post reviews of classes and some listings even offer grade distributions. You can also plan your schedule on course rank as well as review courses you have already taken to help students in the future.

I am sure there are other helpful websites out there so ask your friends if they have any advice on picking classes! And remember that the peer advisors come from all different majors and I am sure at least one of us has potentially taken the class you are curious about! So come visit us in office hours and we can help you find interesting classes or give you more advice on finding classes that work for you!
