Sudden Oak Death:
A Decade of Management Challenges

Please join us for the 2008 CALIFORNIA OAK MORTALITY TASK FORCE (COMTF) Annual Meeting at the Marin Center in San Rafael, CA in April 2008!

The 2008 CALIFORNIA OAK MORTALITY TASK FORCE (COMTF) Annual Meeting will present an overview/update on the current status and issues concerning Sudden Oak Death and Phytophthora ramorum. Short talks will be presented on status, management and research in Oregon, California and Europe. Also featured is a nursery and regulatory review from the USA and Canada. A question and answer session on arboriculture and wildland treatments will close out the day. 

The meeting is targeted to a broad general audience: land managers, policy-makers, arborists, nursery growers, and homeowners are all welcome and encouraged to attend.

If you prefer to register by mail click here. The 2008 meeting fee is $30/person, and includes refreshments and lunch. The evening social is $15/person and will include a light buffet. The field trip and nursery committee meeting are free of charge. You are welcome to attend any or all the events. Please register each person separately. When we receive your registration, we will contact you with more information about the specific events you will be attending.

Travel & Lodging Information
The Marin Center is located at 10 Avenue of the Flags in San Rafael, next to the Marin Civic Center. Click here for directions.

For your convenience, a block of rooms has been reserved at a reduced rate of $126/night at the Embassy Suites Hotel San Rafael next to the Marin Center for the nights of April 15-16. Accomodations include a 2-room suite with living room and bedroom, complimentary breakfasts and evening receptions, and complimentary parking.
