Plant Symptoms - Symptomatic photos of proven and associated hosts found in nature with P. ramorum confirmed through culturing or PCR. Proven hosts include plants for which Koch's postulates have been completed.

Landscape Photos - These are landscape level photos of devastation caused by Phytophthora ramorum.

P. ramorum photomicrographs - These microscopic images consist of the following:

  1. P. ramorum sporulation images -These 6 photomicrographs by Jennifer Parke, Oregon State University, show the sporulation of P. ramorum on bay leaf tissue.
  2. Ultrastructural features of P. ramorum -These 22 photomicrographs by Ed Florance, Lewis & Clark College, show the various ultrastructural features of P. ramorum.

Management Photos - These photos demonstrate methods used by three projects to control the spread of plants infected with Phytophthora ramorum:

  1. The first photo shows an example of an experimental treatment project in Southern Humboldt County on California State Park's property. The other three photos show testing prescribed fire for control. Photos are by Yana Valachovic, UC Cooperative Extension, Humboldt County.
  2. A project was implemented in southern Humboldt County in February 2004 in an effort to slow the spread of Phytophthora ramorum. Photos are by Jack Marshall, CDF.
  3. These photos show steps taken by a plant nursery in British Columbia (B.C.) June 2003 in the interception of Phytophthora ramorum. Photos are by Shane Sela, CFIA.
