Phytophthora ramorum Research Needs Assessment

The 2007 Phytophthora ramorum Research Needs Assessment is intended to identify those research needs that are currently most important for all aspects of Phytophthora ramorum/Sudden Oak Death. On the concluding day of the Symposium, researchers, regulators, land managers, industry representatives, policy-makers, and other affected parties will have the opportunity to work together to identify and discuss research gaps with the goal of directing future efforts, insuring research programs are relevant and focused on solving real-world problems. Research needs will be captured and used to update of the USDA Forest Service, Pacific Southwest Research Station, Sudden Oak Death, 5-year Research Plan, as well as provide guidance for USDA APHIS and DEFRA Phytophthora ramorum programs.
