CANFit Recipes for Success: Nutrition and Physical Activity Programs for Youth

The School Health Index
This is a self-assessment and planning tool that will enable schools to identify the strengths and weaknesses of their physical activity and nutrition policies and programs, develop an action plan for improving student health, and involve teachers, parents, students, and the community in improving school services. The School Health Index is available at no cost and can be completed in as little as 5 hours. Many of the improvements that a school may want to make can be done with existing staff and resources.
