A very valuable wood, and unfortunately not very abundant. Range of growth restricted to a narrow belt along the coast from Coos Bay, Oregon to Humboldt County, Calif. Maximum size 12'x200', average 3-5'x150'. The wood is light, moderately strong, fine-grained, compact, easily worked, and very durable. It is used for boatbuilding, planing mill products, interior finish, cabinets, chests, tanks, etc. This board 3/4"x16"x10', 13-1/3 board feet.
