**Students must take a course in each of the above-listed three subject areas . Either Microbiology or Physiology must include a lab. If a student has taken an acceptable lower division course in any of these areas, the student may then choose a course from the Elective Course Option list in order to acquire the 36 upper division units in the major that are required for a degree.
