The Schwabacher Endowment
The Schwabacher Endowment provides funds to pay costs associated with the Summer Field Program. It was set up to support UC Berkeley students in the Forestry and Natural Resource major, but in recent years has provided enough return on the investment to pay the residential costs for Berkeley students in other majors as well the amount of money available in any given year depends on the rate of return on the funds, which constitute the endowment's principal.
Please note: Schwabacher Endowment funds DO NOT cover the tuition costs paid to Berkeley Summer Sessions. However financial aid is available for Summer Session courses and the award will be based on the total costs of attending the Summer Field Program.
See http://summer.berkeley.edu/ for details on Berkeley Summer Sessions. Schwabacher awards will be paid directly to the Office of the Registrar upon confirmation of tuition payment for the ESPM 105 series of courses.
