Water knows no political boundaries. There are more than 260 basins that transcend political boundaries. This transboundary nature of the resource requires countries to cooperate in the face of conflicting interests and sovereignty barriers. The Mountain Aquifer shared between Israel and the Palestinians is one example of such tension. This talk will provide an overview of the Israeli- Palestinian water conflict over the Mountain Aquifer, its barriers and opportunities.
