Join us for the East Bay's largest Energy event!

This year, The Berkeley Energy and Resources Collaborative (BERC) has teamed up with the The Berkeley Energy and Climate Insitute (BECI) to bring you two days of great programming. We will kick off the event on February 18th starting with the Philomathia Forum on Energy and Environment: highlighting innovative research on climate and energy from the faculty and staff of UC Berkeley and LBNL. The Philomathia Forum will be followed by the Cleantech UP Competition and the BERC Innovation Expo: showcasing student research and a regional Department of Energy sponsored pitch competition worth $100,000. The Philomathia Forum will be held at Sutardja Dai Hall, 3rd floor Banatao Auditorium. The Cleantech UP competition will be held at nearby Sibley Auditroium, while the Innovation Expo will be held at the Hearst Mining Building.

In BERC's 10th year, the Energy Summit will look at the next 10 years in energy development, where we are heading, and what needs to be done to get there. The Summit will feature keynotes from CEC Commissioner David Hochschild and a fireside chat between Nancy Pfund of DBL Partners and Susan Kennedy of Advanced Microgrid Solutions. The program will be rounded out with a debate on carbon capture and storage as well as panels on international climate policy post-Paris, the future of natural gas, the dynamic sector of distributed energy, and electric vehicle adoption.
