Website Improvements For 2008
Cal Forestry Club Blog:
The Forestry Club Blog was designed to facilitate communication between Alumni, Faculty and Students. The content of the posts may include, but not limited to club events, job announcements, website improvements, current forestry research, and prospective students. Click here to easily signup and then be able to write on the blog.
Easy FTP Picture Upload:
This tool will allow Alumni, Faculty, and Students to share photos spanning many decades of the Cal Forestry Club. These photos will be used to create future timbers (year book) and to post on the Cal Forestry Club Website.
Instructions: You can either use a free ftp clint such as filezilla to upload and download pictures from the server or use the "my computer" option. Both approaches are shown below.
Filezilla Method:
1) Download Filezilla and select your appropriate operating system. Then install
2) Next open the program and fill in the top 4 boxes (Figure 1)
Host: "fastcacher.dlinkddns.com"
Username: "forestry"
Password: "forestry"
Port: "21"

3) That is it! Your computer files are on left column and the ftp server is in the right column. Just simply drag files back and forth to copy.
"My Computer" Method (Windows only):
1) Open My Computer (under start menu or on desktop), then paste the link below into the address box (Figure 2).
Link: "ftp://fastcacher.dlinkddns.com"
Next, when prompt type the following:
User name: forestry
Password: forestry
2) That is it just copy / paste or drag files over like you normally would on your computer.
