The Cal Alumni Foresters (CAF) are among the most active alumni group on the Berkeley Campus. CAF helps connect alumni working in the Forestry and Resource Management fields to each other and to students joining the field.

CAF supports current Cal forestry students by providing scholarships, mentoring and introducing the new crop of managers to the Society of American Foresters (SAF) at the national convention each fall. Every year, during Cal’s homecoming week, Cal Foresters hold the S.J. Hall Lecture in Industrial Forestry, a Banquet where alumni, faculty, and students can interact and learn from each other about the current state of forestry.
